Ugh, We are finally home and we are safe. We had no idea where exactly it was hitting we were just told to evacuate. Well, it missed where we are at but it got all of mine and my husbands families in Port Arthur, Orange and Bridge City Texas. Please pray for us as we go and help them get whatever is left of their houses back in order. I have a feeling alot of family will be heading to our house in the next few days because we are one of the few with power and no damage. What a mess. I wish I could had updated more often but where we evacuated to had no power and was getting tropical storm weather. If we would have known we would have stayed home....but you never can tell with these storms. All of my family is safe and sound....all evacuated. Some in shelters but they are alive so we are thankful. Keep my family in your prayers. My heart goes out to everyone who was affected. I am just so thankful that there have not been as many deaths as hurricane Katrina. I think people really took the warnings seriously. God Bless!!!

Well, We are packing up and leaving. Could turn into a 4 or a 5 hurricane and we can't take that chance. Chris is at work right now and as soon as he gets home we are unplugging the computer and taking it with us and then we are packing all of our animals and if we have room we are taking boxes of wedding pictures.....those pictures can't be replaced. Pray for our road safety because Chris truck is overheating and there might be alot of stop and go traffic which could make it worse. Have you noticed that the hurricanes that are making land are females. What is it with females?!?!?!?!

Of course I can't help but put this amazingly appropriate cartoon up!!!! 

Really praying that Rita slows down. We'll know more tomorrow about where she is hitting but so far it doesn't look good for this area. It's a time like this where I wish we had renters insurance. I really hope that everything works out cause as most of you know we have animals and moving them with us wherever we go is going to be an adventure for sure. My Macaw will be the biggest challenge. So does anyone want to take someone in who has a Macaw, cockatiel, parakeet, dog, cat and a kitten????? Alot of animals, Huh???? Yea, they are my babies and they are coming with me.......ADVENTURE for sure!!!!! Everyone keep safe and will update if possible. Much Love!!!!

I have had my car for awhile now......my other car got totaled. I am still hurting from that wreck and the airbags. The wreck was in Feb. and we got this car right around my birthday. So Happy Birthday to MEEEEEEEE!!! I can't believe it took me so long to put pics up.

The airbags are so expensive that is what put it over the top and classified it as totaled. Dumb airbags hurt, bad......and the dust.....ugh, very emotional experience. Took a while to feel comfortable on the road again.

Well, we got home this evening to a crying little kitten right across the street by a tree in the neighbors yard. After talking to both neighbors and them saying its not their cat and they don't know the mama........We have a new addition to our family.

Isn't she so cute!!! She already has a sense of humor.

Sugar is a small dog....8 pounds...and so you can see how small she is. Sugar still isn't sure about her.

You can tell by my shoes that she is really little. I have little feet, size 5.

He does not want to admit that he has fallen in love already with her.

We have not picked out a name for her yet. I like graycie since she is different colors of gray but Chris doesn't too much yet. So we shall think about it and see. I am on cloud nine right now. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE
