Pretend this was written a month ago. The wedding was on May 13th and we got home on May 15th. Yea, kinda late in posting this!!!!
The trip to Texas was great and my Sisters wedding was absolutely Beautiful!!!! I just can't beleive its all over with already. Evans photografix took pics and they did such a wonderful job. It took all I had not to cry going down the staircase. It brought back so many memories of eight years ago walking down similiar steps to Chris.
It was great to see family and I wish we would have had longer to visit. Everybody got sick and luckily I was able to escape without getting anything but as soon as I got picked up from the airport Jessicas germs decided they were stronger than the ones from Texas and now I have nasal congestion and sore throat. I will take that over the stomach flu anyday. I am so glad I did not have that while flying. I was blocking out the possibility of even getting what my family had cause that plane ride would have been death.
Speaking of planes. The ride over to Houston was crazy cause it was late and we missed our connecting flight cause they decided to leave early. Jerks. Then our luggage was lost cause we told them to send them to Beaumont and we were in houston. Luckily, the luggage also stayed in houston and we were able to, after an hour, get our luggage which included the dress I had to wear for the wedding. After renting a car and driving to Port Arthur from Houston, we finally were able to get 4 hours sleep. The sleep didn't get much better and neither did the nerves. (I hate flying so that made me nervous and then missing our flight and losing luggage didn't help either.) Then, our flight back was also crazy for me. We had to ride the small plane to houston.....I have not rode that in 8 years and forgot that the turbulance is horrible. Man, felt like Tower of Terror all over again. I hate that feeling of your stomach going to your throat. HATE IT.
I was so nervous about this wedding and I realized its cause my little sister is all grown up. It was happy nerves though. I was able to switch from crazy nerves to happy nerves. I am so happy for her. It crazy cause some people that I haven't seen since my wedding day were there and I was able to catch up with them. Crazy.
So now, back to normal, at home. All I want to do is sleep since I got none in Texas. I don't know how my sister was able to sleep on the night before her wedding but not me. Maybe God switched our stomaches out for the night. I wasn't nervous about my wedding so maybe someone else was nervous for me.
